Hegdinvst has announced the successful closure of its Series A funding round at Rs 11.5 crore, exceeding its original target of Rs 10 crore. The announcement was shared by the company through a post on LinkedIn.

According to the firm, the round saw participation from a curated group of domestic and international high net worth individual investors who have been closely following the company’s progress and align with its long term vision for the business.

Hegdinvst stated that a significant portion of the newly raised capital will go toward funding its own sponsor and manager commitment to its proposed Category III Alternative Investment Fund, which is a multi asset hedge fund. This move indicates that the fund manager intends to have a direct financial stake in the fund alongside its investors.

The company has positioned its approach around the idea that the future of quality investment management does not depend on accumulating the largest capital pools. Instead, Hegdinvst says its focus is on delivering high conviction co investment opportunities to its ecosystem, with the fund manager sharing real financial risk alongside investors rather than simply managing external money.

Hegdinvst outlined three core pillars that it says will drive its growth going forward. The first is serving what the company describes as India’s fastest growing investor segment, namely family offices, ultra high net worth individuals and high net worth individuals, a group it refers to internally as emerging wealth.

The second pillar involves offering focused equity and private credit co investment opportunities to this investor base. The third pillar centers on maintaining high standards of governance, team culture, ethics and transparency across its operations.

In its announcement, Hegdinvst pointed to India’s broader economic trajectory as a key part of its long term thesis. The company believes the country is entering one of the most significant wealth creation cycles in its history as it moves toward becoming a 30 trillion dollar economy.

Hegdinvst noted that as this shift continues, investors within the emerging wealth category are likely to look beyond traditional fund products in search of more sophisticated investment solutions, an opportunity the firm is positioning itself to capture through its upcoming hedge fund offering.

With its Series A round closed above target, Hegdinvst is now moving forward with plans to launch its Category III AIF, aiming to serve a growing segment of Indian investors seeking more specialized investment options beyond conventional fund structures.
